We recently executed the order for design, supply, installation, and commissioning of ‘Skid Mounted Acid Heating System’ at acid pickling line. Previously the acid solution of pickling bath was heated by direct steam injection inside the bath, which lead to dilution of acid concentration due to condensation of steam. In this current system, each skid comprises tantalum shell & tube type heat exchangers for closed-loop acid heating, pumps, steam valves, steam trap unit with automated temperature control system. The entire acid line piping is with PTFE lining. This system will enable increase line speed, thus productivity and quality of plate coils.
